Confident, ebullient and loud, whenever Leo Sun sets their mind to something, they’re going to pull it off. This playlist is dominated by megastars like Madonna, Whitney Houston and J.Lo, and of course Geri Haliwell, the only Spice Girl named after an actual spice. Also, CREATRIX favorite LION BABE calling upon Impossible!
Leo is here to do things in a way that nobody has ever done them before, and they’re going to look GOOD doing it. They carry the zodiac’s torch, showing us what we could accomplish if we were simply unbothered by anyone else’s opinion.
Fittingly, Frederic Auguste Bartholdi, designer of the Statue of Liberty, was born under the Leo Sun. As were feminist provocateur Florine Stettheimer, pioneering African American assemblage artist Betye Saar, and RC Gorman- who opened the first Native American owned art gallery in the United States. And also, Marcel Duchamp.
I’ve curated a collection of works by these Leo Sun artists to accompany this month’s playlist. Enjoy!
