Libra New Moon &Your Love Guides.

This is a powerful time for manifesting what we want from our partnerships as the Sun, Moon and Mars conjunct within the same degree of Libra, with Mercury in close proximity. With the focus on the Libran phase of the Zodiac our attention turns to how we interact, collaborate, negotiate and love.

Sun & Moon at 13°24′ OF Libra

The Lunar cycle begins on October 6th, with the New Moon at 13 degrees and 24 minutes of Libra, we are entering the sphere of social engagement and relatedness. The focus is on our relationships and during this period we can gain insights into the roles we play within our communities. As always with the New Moon, this is an excellent opportunity to find new layers of energy to inspire us towards becoming more authentic within the relationships we form.

The Fall Equinox opens up a powerful spiritual portal with the subtle energies of the cosmos flowing in offering downloads. On the earthly plane the days and nights were of equal length, also signifying balance, which is a theme central to Libra. The Equinox chart is important as it sets the tone for the next 3 months until the Winter Solstice that takes place this year on December 21st.

During the next three months we are under the spell of the Fall Equinox which opened up a powerful spiritual portal. You can read about it here. With the Sun in Libra we are shifting gears and stepping into the cardinality. What does that signify? Libra is a cardinal air sign, and as she activates, her momentum concentrates the energies onto the abstract and intellectual. We have been transformed through the month of September, and now it is time to talk about all that we have achieved, and also to share our ideas and ideals with others.

And as the Mercury Retrograde period is progressing we are learning a great deal of how we relate and how we can actually improve our relationships. Acknowledging someone for their support, or even saying sorry where we recognize our shortcomings, is advised. Building each other up, and building oneself through the relationships is the Holy Grail, who are we if not the multitude of those we love and cherish!

Ruler of this New Moon – Venus at the last degrees of Scorpio, will shift into Sagittarius on October 8th creating conjunction with the South Node. Venus in Scorpio is aware of her powers, and balances the strong Mars. The personal planets are in a mutual reception aspect: Venus the ruler of Libra is in Mars’ sign and Mars is in Libra’s therefore they are in each other’s signs of rulership enhancing the theme of integration, respect within partnerships, and mutual support.

The New Moon conjunction with Mars will create a great intensity and strong feelings. On a negative side it can result in outburst of anger, but on the positive it brings us an incredible stamina and drive to achieve. There is a tendency to base the actions on emotions rather than reason. So if you want to accomplish much within this Lunar cycle you need to be aware of how you guide your energy. Don’t let the feelings blind you, and follow the voice of reason.

Sun and Mars conjunction will grant us tremendous willpower, and courage. See where this New Moon falls in your chart as the houses ruled by the Sun and Mars will be the areas of intense activity and power potential as will the house in which the conjunction is found.

Chiron

Another powerful aspect of this Lunation is the opposition of Chiron in Aries and the New Moon and Mars in Libra. This position denotes wounding concerning the fairness within the partnerships, collaborations or business dealings, and demands balance of giving and receiving.

Chiron in Aries teaches us about leadership, and with this opposition we need to look closely at what it means to be a good leader. Do we compromise our beliefs for the greater good or do we fight for them alienating others? With the strong Libra energies the cosmic forces encourage us to listen actively and see other people’s point of view. A good leader is the one who is fair. Justice is a key word to understand the Libran type of leadership. With this New Moon we have an opportunity to learn our lessons and heal the past wounding within Aries/Libra axis. Above all Chiron represents the primal wound and the urge to become whole and heal the self.  So put yourself in another person’s shoes, listen and be guided by the voice or reason without letting the emotions and passions overtake your heart.
