The New LatinX Art Collective uses the X as a symbol of inclusion, breaking apart from binarism and patriarchal stereotypes. The X also represents unity and intersectionality, the New LatinX Art Collective is formed by Spanish speakers of all races and nationalities that have a connection through migration to the United States. The X means HERE and NOW, CHANGE and FREEDOM.

I think the “American Dream” was attainable for very few Americans and for very short periods of time. The saddest part of the failure of the “American Dream” is that it includes inalienable rights; life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. You can’t achieve any of those things if your basic needs aren’t met, and secure housing is certainly one of those.
