TROPICAL

This Lunar Cycle began on November 13th, with the Sun and Moon at at 20°43′ Scorpio, Tropical and will reach its culmination on November 27th, 2023, 4:16 AM EST with the Sun at 4°51’ Sagittarius, and the at Moon 4°51’ Gemini, Tropical.

The last New Moon felt pretty explosive with the influences of Uranus and Mars. We are still in the midst of the post-eclipse decompression period with the recent eclipses affecting us for the next 6 months. From the New Moon until the Full Moon on Nov 27th, the Sun and Mars stay close to each other creating the exact conjunction on November 18th, then traveling together on Nov 19th and 20th, and up until the Full Moon, separated only by two degrees.

Mars represents our wants and desires, and it is particularly strong and assertive in the sign of Scorpio, which it rules together with Pluto, the modern ruler of Scorpio.

The Sun / Mars conjunction activates the need to assert ourselves. So be extra aware of your motivations during this whole period! We can benefit from this energy to gain new understanding of what we truly want, and how to get it as long as we show caution and consideration in our dealings with others.

SIDEREAL

Rohini Nakshatra – prosperity and devotion

In terms of sidereal astrology the Full Moon takes place with the Moon at 10°39’ Taurus in its favourite Nakshatra Rohini opposing the Sun at 10°39’ Scorpio in Anuradha Nakshatra. Rohini, entirely in the sign of Taurus, reflects the energies of Moon/Venus with focus on beauty, sensuality, charisma and charm. However, the primary motivation of this placement is moksha (spiritual liberation).

The deity associated with this Moon Mansion is Prajapati, God of Creation, also seen in its form of Brahma, the creator of the Universe, who bestows creativity and talents in the sphere of fine arts. Therefore, placements in this nakshatra can bring tremendous artistic accomplishments, and with the Full Moon we may all experience our creative activation.

Rohini, translates from Sanskrit as “The Red One” or “The Growing One”. It consists of the five stars in the head of Taurus the Bull, with the red star Aldebaran, Alpha Taurus – the red eye of the bull. The symbol of this asterism is an ox chart or chariot, hence Rohini reflects the need for travel and movement.

Rohini is also known as “the star of ascent” bringing prosperity and prominence. Under its influence we are more likely to experience the transcendental meaning of love, as well as get involved in creative endeavors to the benefit of the society.

Aldebaran within Taurus constellation

The Stars of Feminine Power

All four stars located in the fixed signs associated with Kundalini and female power Shakti (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius) represent the occult power within the Zodiac: Aldebaran (Taurus) the power to manifest on the earthly plane, Regulus (Leo) represents the power to create, Antares (Scorpio) the power to transform, and Fomalhaut (Aquarius), the power to connect and build community.

Aldebaran, Alpha Tauri

The energies of Aldebaran, located in the Taurus constellation, support humanity in essential material ways. Aldebaran contributes to our physical well-being and motivates us to take tangible actions, fostering a sense of responsibility in shaping a world of abundance for both ourselves and our community. Positioned exactly opposite Antares in Scorpio activated during this Full Moon by the conjunction between the Sun and Mars, it may initiate some sort of reckoning of how we use our resources. This could lead to a shift towards empowerment and more conscious appreciation of what we have or a dissolution of egotistical tendencies that involve hoarding resources for personal gain.

Mars / Moon energies and Rohana Shakti

The power of Rohini is growth as Rohana Shakti fosters creation on all levels. With the ability to manifest all that we desire, we ought to be careful, and considered under the influence of this Moon Mansion – especially during the Full Moon with the Sun / Mars conjunction activating the need to assert our desires. Taurus, an earth sign, signifies that the fruits of one’s actions can be fully realized here. Fulfillment of desires, and artistic expression are supported with this influence.
