Cosmic Love Beehive is meant to bring forward connection to higher reality through unconditional love poured into the hearts of everyone interacting with the installation. It has potential for nurturing our human need to belong, and offering the intuitive understanding of being part of the Cosmic Plan.
The sound system will play meditations reflecting the planetary energies of each of the planets in our Solar System (including Sun, our Star, and the Moon, Earth’s satellite). The meditations based on the planets which represent cultural archetypes create an experience of shamanic healing journey, presenting karmic themes with the key of unlocking the wisdom of the Higher Self, aligned with the Aquarian paradigm of “I am, therefore I know”.
The meditation pods create a physical environment to explore, rest and tune into the meditative, hypnotic trance. Inspired by the shape of the beehive cells, they remind us of our earthy roots, grounding and centering in balance and in flow.
This project is a reflection of our collective and individual development which we want to share with the larger community so as to grow exponentially and mutually with the highest values of the common good as the guiding principle.
Our project COSMIC LOVE BEEHIVE has been envisioned as a crystalline structure based on the icosohedron and creating an experience of the meditation pods. These lightweight structures are made of construction beams. There are a total of 3 pods and we are asking to cover the cost of materials for the construction including: wooden beams, solar lights, pillows, fabric, paint and sound system.
The cost of producing one meditation pod is approximately $1,800, so to create 3 of them we need a total of $5,400. In addition, the essential part of our project includes the recorded meditations played through the sound system which cost us an estimated $1,800 including two speakers and a mixer. Having a mixer will allow us to invite the DJs to play live, creating additional dimension to our project.
This project is based on BM principles:
– Radical Inclusion – everyone is welcome to interact with The Cosmic Love Beehive project, we are all made of stardust and will return to stardust;
– Decommodification – our project is based on our Solar System, our home;
– Communal Effort, as an art collective we want to share our gifts and talents with the BM community, so the whole community can interact with our art installation and experience the Cosmic Love of The Universe through sound meditationes based on planetary energies;
– Radical Self Expression – we don’t hold back, we have a vision and we follow through it in artistic exploration of our own limits;
– Leaving No Trace – we use natural, non toxic materials, the project will be burnt on Sunday turning into dust particles.
– Participation and Immediacy – Cosmic Love Beehive is to be experienced with all our senses and the gift of intuitive knowing that we are part of the larger Universe.
Physical Description
Cosmic Love Beehive is a crystalline structure based on the icosohedron.
The top of the icosohedron is covered in fabric out of which the constellations are cut out.
The constellations project on the inside by the power of the sun during the day and solar-powered electrical illumination at night. There is an ambient sound in the piece throughout the days and nights.
The bottom of the icosohedron has thick guard rails to keep a foam mat secured inside but is otherwise left open. Thusly creating a rest spot on the playa that is simultaneously open to the elements but provides shade.
