For Megwyn White—my Oceanic-sister across lifetimes, & the Venusian temple of light
Sanctuary
1.
Ah Great Mother—
she becomes
devotion and source.
Flesh radiant with gravity,
time held in her belly
like a sealed horizon.
Visions dissolving
into the life of another—
as the river’s mouth devours sunlight,
late spring blossom
rising at the edge.
2.
Into the current—
foam
silk
skin—
the river eats her.
I watch her movements
slow and careful
a vessel of two worlds:
body swallowed in fulfilled prophecy,
and a sanctuary.
Thighs dissolving—
a nymph returning
to the unbroken womb of water.
3.
She who smells the wild roses,
time-crystal of June’s sunlight—
unruly, growing
within the teardrops of life,
by the riverbank
of Venus and Jupiter.
How did I know
that roses rise in June?
I slayed them
with my 5D shutter,
offered them
to the nymphs.
I blurred, enhanced,
turned black-and-white,
sublimated spirits and light—
for the sake of art,
for the memory of arrival on the earthside,
for the Goddess of Life,
for my sisters
riding the celestial carriage of karma,
for all the Madonnas
disguised as planetary mothers.
*Time Crystal of Venus and Jupiter refers to the teardrop–diamond–crystal symbolism of Ardra Nakshatra in Vedic astrology, where Venus and Jupiter were conjoined in the birth chart of Somára Auryn, Megwyn’s daughter. Their union formed a magnificent and harmonious alignment to Megwyn’s Sun, and to my own Venus, a celestial signature of beauty, brilliance, and blessing.
