Spring Equinox is here! March 20th is marked by a potent cosmic opening. The Sun ingresses into the cardinal sign of Aries at 11:33 am EST on March 20th and remains on the first degree of Aries until March 21st, beginning a new journey around the Zodiac wheel. The feeling of expansion is aroused with the rays of the Spring sunlight!
The Spring Equinox stands for the new astrological year, and its chart defines the energies for the upcoming year, and in particular the first quadrant until the Summer Solstice.
The Cosmic Portal of the BIG Entrance to one of the four Cardinal points of the astrological Wheel of the Year, (which are the dates corresponding to Spring Equinox, Summer Solstice, Autumn Equinox, and Winter Solstice) is the gateway to manifesting through the energy of leadership. Use the cosmic forces to activate, to motivate, and to move-forward! This four-angle portal brings different energies with each different quadrant. With Aries, a cardinal, fire sign ruled by Mars, we are experiencing a boost of energy helping us to take reality in stride. With its pioneering, courageous, intense survival spirit, we are launched to fearlessly conquer the world.
When Sun enters Aries it conjuncts the Aries Point (first degree of the zodiac) and the cycle of the astrological Wheel of the Year begins, already containing the energies of the upcoming events. The chart of the Spring Equinox focuses on the evolution of our collective destiny with strong Piscean energies of Neptune conjunct Jupiter and Mercury creating trine to the South Node at 23 degrees of Scorpio and a sextile to the North Node at 23 degrees of Taurus. There is strong emphasis to learn from our shortcomings and Scorpio themed pitfalls, there is quite a bit of trauma that we are all processing on the personal and the collective level with the war in Ukraine, the humanitarian crisis live streaming on our screens, and the possible international conflict recalling the WW2 and the Cold War.
Entering the sphere of the mundane astrology (the astrology of worldly events) I looked into the Vladimir Putin personal chart, and without surprise learnt that his South Node in Leo conjuncts Pluto (within one degree!), while his North Node in Aquarius is about to make a conjunction with the transiting Saturn. His Nodes of Destiny are currently squaring the present North and South Node, manifesting through this horrific conflict.
Negative and destructive past experiences always lurk through the South Node in Scorpio and strong Pluto (moderns ruler of Scorpio) and Mars (traditional ruler of Scorpio) energies, whatever comes up during this potent Cosmic Portal needs to be analyzed through the lens of the Taurus / Scorpio axis of the Moon’s Nodes. The call is to abandon the destructive Scorpio ways and embrace the peace and prosperity associated with the North Node in Taurus. On a personal level, this is a lesson in discernment (Pisces challenge to stop leaking emotional energy and develop ability to judge well and set healthy boundaries) and embodiment which is the most enlightened form of Taurus wisdom: “Life is to be lived”! A reminder to live fully, seeing our earthy form (Virgo energies) as The Temple of Light and the Cosmic Wisdom channeled through us (strong mystical theme of the Piscean Stellium).
Aries represents pure outlet for swiftness and acceleration. The Martian order is: “Go, go, go!” in the direction defined by the Equinox chart – powerful Pisces energies of the stellium involving the Sun in Aries, with Neptune, Jupiter and Mercury in Pisces which tells us to be guided by empathy and compassion as we transmute our past karmas, learning the lessons, overcoming negative expressions of Scorpio: war, conflict, exploitation, trauma. With the Sun in Mighty Aries Warrior we ought to use the solar fiery energy to burn the negativity and emerge into Spring. It’s important to remember the painful past so as to learn from it, and to make the PEACE ☮️ vows to ALWAYS PROTECT THOSE WHO MAY BENEFIT FROM OUR STRENGTH AND LOVE.
