In astrology, full moons symbolize a peak of energies and occur when the Sun (the ego) opposes the Moon (the soul). Through the antagonistic energies we become aware of our shadow. This may translate into obstacles between our home and work; our desires and our needs.
This Full Moon in Scorpio occurs on April 26sth at 23:32 EST (April 27th if you are in Europe). This is a very special week with cosmic portals opening since the Sun transiting through the sign of Taurus conjuncts Uranus (exact April 29-30th) and squares Saturn in Aquarius. This is a powerful alignment, teaching us about power of freedom. The occult meaning of FREEDOM isn’t a complete abandonment of restrictions, the true freedom comes from understanding our responsibilities and expanding the independence within the boundaries of the structures we created in our lives (Saturn). Until we are ready to embrace the wisdom of Saturn / Uranus relation, the symbolic representation of the ego, the Sun and the souls representation, the Moon will feel trapped within the requirements imposed on us, read here “self-imposed”. What’s reality if not the representation of beliefs we hold over our abilities, potential, limitations?
The Saturn / Moon square is one of the most difficult configurations producing the feeling of depression and negative irrational fears. In general, any aspect to the Moon is experienced more on the subconscious than conscious level. The shadow side can be experienced as selfishness, possessiveness, jealousy and most commonly negativity and coldness. My advice would be to follow the inner rebel (Uranus) and see things as opposites directing your energy towards something you truly love, with a strict policy of shutting down the inner critic.
Ultimately, this is a reckoning time with the external pressures bringing up inner conflicts to the surface. The cosmic tensions are mostly felt on the personal level as full moons are focused on the emotional and instinctual, allowing us to gain insight into the dynamics of our intimate relationships, and adjust them accordingly. The insightful psychic Scorpio needs to channel and release the built-up tension. The Moon, in the most mysterious sign of the Zodiac, is pulled towards the intense emotional currents.
