Libra Full Moon. Love Wins!

Libra Full Moon emphasizes our interconnectedness and teaches us how to relate to others. It also reminds us that we are - with Pluto square to the Sun and the Moon - responsible on a global scale and that our decisions affect people in all parts of the world.

Full moons symbolize a peak of energies, and occur when the Sun (the ego) opposes the Moon (the soul). This Full Moon in Libra takes place on April 16th at 2:54 pm EST (check your time zone accordingly).

With the Sun at 26 degrees and 45 minutes of Aries opposing the Moon at 26 degrees and 45 minutes of Libra, the duality of the Full Moon expresses itself through the axis of Aries and Libra: desires and needs of the self, and the need to negotiate our social reality with others.

Personal Accountability Pluto square the Sun and Moon

The major aspect of this Full Moon is the cardinal t-square of Moon and Sun at 26°45 with Pluto at 28°33 of Capricorn acting as an apex. Watch out for potentially explosive energies of Moon and Pluto, which may reveal to you deeply rooted subconscious suffering. Don’t allow isolation to foster destructive behaviors. Instead, soften up, be willing to be vulnerable and open yourself up to a heartfelt conversation. Self-awareness may diminish emotional pain, but you need to be willing to do the work and face your darkness. Pluto’s immense powers are best expressed as used for the greater good, and not the egotistical self serving results. Keep that in mind, and let the principle of the common good guide your actions.

Personal Responsibility and Ethical Integrity of Pluto

With Pluto in Capricorn we need to attune to the CAPRICORN’s lessons on both personal and collective level. Internalize the responsibility you hold over your own life, actions, potential for change, and impact on the community you are part of, an ever-evolving quantum dance of existence.

Pluto in Capricorn, the generational slow-moving planet calls upon us to collectively acknowledge a concept of personal responsibility. Pluto reveals where we most covertly resist change, therefore also showing us where we have the opportunity to rise above personal fears. Residing in the sign of Capricorn, Pluto tests the structures of our political and economic systems, based on a sense of moral and ethical integrity. We became all codependents of a system that is not functioning, that is, taking more than it can give. This imbalance creates a distorted sense of responsibility within us all, for the system is failing us and we need to transform it, and assume greater personal accountability for the impact we have on our world.

Creative Flare of Venus

The ruler of this Full Moon, Venus is comfortably placed in Pisces, her sign of exultation, able to express freely her idealistic, social, loving and romantic nature. She forms a sextile to Uranus / Mercury conjunct in Taurus, bringing unusual creative abilities and turning our social life even more exciting with the Spring sun making us rediscover the world!

The Uranus / Mercury conjunction in Taurus expresses itself through intuitive abilities, original imagination and intellectual prowess as the two planets symbolizing the mind meet each other. As both Mercury and Uranus are in Taurus, earthy fix sign, it stabilizes Mercury and renders it less erratic.

We are still under the influence of Jupiter and Neptune conjunction that took place on April 12th, sending energetic waves throughout the Universe. For more insights please read my article in the Cosmic Portals series:

We are already in the Eclipse season caused by the Moon’s Nodes of our Collective Destiny. The influences of eclipses can be felt a month before and 6 month after, here is my article from 2017 on the meaning of eclipses for those who want to dive deeper. THE DEMONS WHO CAUSED THE ECLIPSE

Channelled Wisdom of the Nodes and Saturn

During the Full Moon we are still under the influence of Saturn squaring the Nodes: North Node in Taurus and South Node in Scorpio. Negative and destructive past experiences always lurk through the South Node in Scorpio and strong Pluto (moderns ruler of Scorpio) and Mars (traditional ruler of Scorpio) energies, whatever comes up during this Full Moon needs to be analyzed through the lens of the Taurus / Scorpio axis of the Moon’s Nodes. The call is to abandon the destructive Scorpio ways and embrace the peace and prosperity associated with the North Node in Taurus through the channel of Saturn in Aquarius.

Saturn is a wise teacher. Live up to your words, take responsibility for what you promised and committed to regardless of how big or small your obligations are. You have a choice.  You are free to act, so if you choose integrity then Saturn, the God of Time and Duty will nod approvingly as you overcome the fear to act, and push the limits of personal comfort to take responsibility for your own life and your community. Since 2020 and the conjunction of Saturn and Pluto, we all went through a lot of changes on individual and collective levels. In the last two years we all realized that our local actions have global impacts, and we are all more interconnected and aware of it.

This Full Moon, while ruled by the loving, charming, creative Venus in Pisces, brings back the heavy themes of Pluto and Saturn, with two powerful t-squares one involving Pluto as an apex to the Full Moon opposition and the other Saturn as an apex to the Moon’s Nodes  – this is the time to fully comprehend how the last two years – since the Saturn / Pluto conjunction in January 2020 changed our lives.

Hopefully it can teach us that LOVE ultimately WINS supported by personal accountability and ethical choices, and that we all want the same: equality and prosperity for ourselves, our neighbors, and the people on the other side of the globe who are being affected by our actions.

This week CREATRIX Magazine joined Rally at SUNY New Paltz to “encourage” TIAA to divest from Russian oil and gas majors Gazprom, Lukoil and Rosneft to stop bankrolling the brutality against Ukraine, as well as to divest from all fossil fuels by 2025. Your voice matters, your choices matter, follow the money and demand accountability!

Astrology of the Stars

Libra Full Moon’s symbolism expresses itself through three powerful stars aligned with the Moon’s journey through the sky: Eta Carinae, the hypergiant star as well as Spica and Arcturus.

Arcturus, known as a red giant, is the brightest star (Alpha) in the northern constellation of Boötes, the fourth-brightest in the night sky. It is approximately 25 times bigger than our Sun, and it appears orange hence the “RED GIANT” description.

The constellation Boötes located above the ecliptic spreads above the constellation of Virgo, and her scales, the Libra constellation. The name comes from Latin Boōtēs, which comes from Greek “herdsman”, “plowman” literally, ox-driver. Boötes is the Virgin’s consort and protector representing strength and responsibility. If the stars of constellations Virgo birth the souls into the earthy existence, Boötes plays essential role in supporting the incarnations of the souls on the earthy plane.

If you can recognise the Plough (the Big Dipper), which is be even higher in the sky than Boötes, follow the curve of the stars in its handle downwards and you will arrive at Arcturus. For observers in the northern hemisphere, Arcturus and Boötes can seen in the northern sky during the summer months, and for observers in the southern hemisphere, Arcturus and Boötes can seen in the northern sky during the winter months.

Featured constellations: Boötes the Herdsman, Virgo the Maiden and Libra the Scales

Arcturus, as the Alpha Boötes holds the responsibility for the safe evolutionary unfoldment and ascension of Earth and the humanity. He bestows spiritual awareness and assists us in intuitive application of the cosmic gnosis.
