When I write my astrology updates, I describe the major planetary energies, I look at the Vedic chart, and the Western chart, and analyze the influences of the stars activated during that particular time.
For the Great American Solar Eclipse of April 8th, I wrote about Cosmic Dharma and how ethical choices affect the entire universe. Are we aligned with our dharma? Are we aligned with our soul’s calling? Does our culture and society reflect the ethical principle of “do no harm”? It wasn’t the whole message, just a snippet. As the solar eclipse was visible throughout North America, it clearly has major consequences on this part of the world where many decisions affecting the entire planet are taking place. I kept on thinking how psychically disassociated North America is from the consequences of its political choices and military targets. And that for the sake of all of us nice people living freely, there are people in other parts of the world who are put through hell… And we, collectively, do very little to stop this, not believing in having enough agency or influence, not seeing that the comfort we live in brings wars and destruction onto others.
We are all connected but our mode of operating is the disconnect. Can an Afghan, Iraqi or Palestinian child blame the entirety of the Western culture for murdering their parents? “Why did you kill my mother?”
“Why did you kill all these people?”
“I was only following the orders” – is the classic response of a German Nazi employee of the concentration camps.
None of us is feeling responsible, but I am certain, all the kids living though the most horrid nightmares of wars, blame the West for what has been unleashed in their countries. “Why did you kill my mother?”
I try to keep my astrology updates upbeat. I let my mind drift to the place from where I can write freely, and quickly, catching the strings of information that are sipping through with the light. Sometimes I write transcendental messages inspired by the distant stars, other times I offer practical advice, with pretty detailed analysis. This time all I can hear is “Why did you kill my mother?”.
