Sidereal: Sun & Moon at 7°22′ Capricorn (Uttarashada Nakshatra)
Tropical: Sun & Moon at 1°32′ Aquarius

This Lunar Cycle begins on January 21st with the Sun and the Moon at 7°22′ Capricorn, Sidereal, in the Nakshatra Uttarashada, and in terms of Western astrology it takes place at the very beginning of Aquarius at 1°32′.

The New Moon also heralds the Lunar Calendar’s New Year observed in China and some other Asian countries. It officially starts on January 22nd as The Year of the Water Rabbit, and following the characteristics of the Rabbit sign, 2023 is predicted to be a year of peace, prosperity and hope. Rabbit, thought of as witty, creative and enterprising, is also intuitive like the element of Water.

The Water Rabbit came to me in a dream and said:

The eternal power of being lies in the focus. Meditative state of oneness with the world in the flow of action. Intuition and intention. Ability to stream all consciousnesses through one channel. The human ancients called it Bhakti.  Single minded devotion to one’s craft. Follow the Water Rabbit and through the ripples in time and space witness the awakening of intuitive knowingness.

Uttarashada Nakshatra – the Universal Star

The Sun and the Moon join at 7°22′ Capricorn, in the Nakshatra Uttarashada which lies partly in Capricorn, reflecting the energies of Sun/Saturn. The deities associated with this Moon Mansion are the 10 Vishwa Devas, the Universal Gods who rule over all the realms, heaven and earth. The 10 Vishwa Devas represent the following attributes also characteristic for this nakshatra: wealth, truth, will power, skill, inspiration, eye for detail, patience, desire, self-control, joy.

Uttarashada, is symbolized by an elephant or the elephant’s tusk also associated with the elephant headed God, Ganesha, the remover of obstacles.

Sun & Moon at 1°32′ Aquarius

The Sun and the Moon at 1° Aquarius trine Mars at 8° Gemini and conjunct Pluto at 28° Capricorn. Access to the underground power swiftly translated into the alternative modes of being. Compulsion to reorganize one’s life with the new intuitive realizations, and the feeling of urgency to improve the conditions of the personal space, or – what’s likely with the post Mars Rx and Mercury direct trine North Node at 9° Taurus and Uranus at 14° Taurus – the need to create a hopeful vision of the future.

There is always hope, the human capacity for improving once destiny belongs to the quantum sphere, it is vibrational in a way that the thought is likely to result in action and adjust trajectory. With the sextile of the Sun and Moon to Jupiter in Aries, our ability for that leap of hope is augmented, with all the optimism, and self-assurance necessary for any successful undertaking.

Also the Sun and the Moon are only a couple degrees away from the square to the Nodes in Scorpio and Taurus so as the Moon progresses through the day this energies will get activated, following the square to the Sun on January 28th, an adjustment day, and a karmic lesson awaiting us – if it touches on any points or planets in your chart.

Sprinkling that Cosmic Bunny StarDust and Blessings,
