We are excited for the first post-pandemic East Harlem Open Studios Saturday, April 22nd and Sunday, April 23rd, from 1 pm – 6 pm. East Harlem Open Studios is a free event where artists in East Harlem open their doors to the public.
Artist and educator Julio Valdez is a founding member of this community with the vision of creating opportunities for artists to develop and exhibit their work in New York City. His mentor, teacher, and printer Robert Blackburn initially inspired him to focus on community and form the first East Harlem Open Studios in 2015.
On Saturday, start your journey with coffee and artisanal pastries by @Pabadebakery at 181 E. 108th Street. Thanks to @jvsprojectspace for providing such great artist spaces and @amatusthebeloved for creating the graphics. #EastHarlemOpenStudios
