Joyful Autumn Equinox light workers! Today is marked by a potent cosmic opening. The Sun ingresses into the cardinal sign of Libra at 3:22 PM Eastern Time and will remain on the first degree (technically zero degree) until September 23rd. The first degree and last degree of each sign are the critical points within the Zodiac as they contain the most quintessential energies, the symbolic nucleus of the particular sign representing its behavioural patterns and emotional responses.
The chart of the Autumn Equinox defines the major cosmic energies influencing us for the next three months until the Winter Solstice. Fortunately, the chart is powerful with a lot of supporting planetary alignments: Mercury in Libra trines Jupiter in Aquarius as well as Pluto in Capricorn and Saturn in Aquarius creating beneficial trines to the Sun conjunct Mars. Although Mars in the sign of Libra isn’t at its best, the support he receives from the trine to Saturn helps this aggressive animalistic archetype to tame his selfish desires and follow more spiritual aspirations, so “Chill out Mars and work with us!”.

Libra’s ruler Venus, at 13 degrees of Scorpio can be beautifully dramatic, and as the high expression of this archetype – idealistic about the concept of LOVE, dedicated and loyal. However, in general this Venus isn’t overly comfortable – she is in her sign of fall, opposing her own sign of Taurus and also opposing Uranus at 14 degrees of Taurus. Being in Scorpio, she is likely to obsessed with sex, showing up through her shadow of jealousy, secrecy, and strong uncontrolled emotions which may prevent her from seeing other people’s point of view. Uranus opposition can lead her into all types of exotic experiences without consideration for the consequences. This also enhances the willfulness of the Scorpio Venus adding to the intensity and sexual drive.

Building Our Communities
This Equinox chart is a powerful cosmic wave with male archetypes of Mars, Saturn and Pluto aspecting the Sun. Major energetic focus of this Autumn Equinox Chart is the Grand Air Trine between the Sun conjunct Mars in Libra, Saturn in Aquarius and the North Node in Gemini. With all these harmonious energies, we are encouraged to continue the work of building our communities with dedication and sincerity. With strong placement of Saturn we can expect that our work will bring long lasting results.
While the trine of the Sun and Pluto grants us the power of concentration and ability to regenerate, upgrade and transform all aspects of life (!). This aspect – if utilized wisely – can bring the qualities of a spiritual leader in us. Think of the area of life in which you could excel to inspire and lead others, and follow the inner calling within your community. On a very personal level this can also indicate a need to focus on spiritual self development.
The Autumn Equinox chart present some challenges as well. The opposition of Moon at 21 degrees of Aries and Mercury at 24 of Libra, may cause some confusion and irritation in social relationships. The foggy mind may be also the result of Neptune opposing the Sun. Don’t let the unconscious emotional patterns to distort your ability to think objectively and express yourself clearly. However, the sextile of the Moon and Jupiter and the trine of Mercury and Jupiter should ease these difficulties.
The Moon in Aries represents a polarity to the Sun in Libra, but since they do not oppose each other, what is important is to use one’s inner fire to warm up any types of relationships. With the Aries straightforwardness and ability to express the matter of the heart in direct ways, and Libran grace and diplomacy, our sincerity mixed with charisma will serve us well in any social setting.
