Astrology of the Stars

Arcturus, known as a red giant, is the brightest star (Alpha) in the northern constellation of Boötes, the fourth-brightest in the night sky outshone only by Sirius, Canopus, and Alpha Centauri. It is approximately 25 times bigger than our Sun, and it appears orange hence the “RED GIANT” description.

The constellation Boötes located above the ecliptic spreads between the constellation of Virgo, and her scales, the Libra constellation. The name comes from Latin Boōtēs, which comes from Greek “herdsman”, “plowman” literally, ox-driver. Boötes is the Virgin’s consort and protector representing strength and responsibility. If the stars of constellations Virgo birth the souls into the earthy existence, Boötes plays essential role in supporting the incarnations of the souls on the earthy plane.

If you can recognize the Plough (the Big Dipper), which is be even higher in the sky than Boötes, follow the curve of the stars in its handle downwards and you will arrive at Arcturus. For observers in the northern hemisphere, Arcturus and Boötes can be seen in the northern sky during the summer months, and for observers in the southern hemisphere, Arcturus and Boötes can be seen in the northern sky during the winter months.
