During the Cancer season in the Northern Hemisphere, we experience the height of summer with the longest days and peak temperatures. Our body and spirit become hypersensitive to the environment, activating psychic undercurrents. Cancer is a dreamer, and during this time, dreamscapes awaken the subconscious, connecting it to the collective from which archetypes flood our imagination. We can reach new lands of self-knowledge. Cancerians possess the super skill of seeing the future through dreams.
With the Full Moon in Capricorn, we integrate the teachings of the elements: the psychic, intuitive WATER of Cancer and the materializing EARTH of Capricorn. This gives us an opportunity to infuse higher knowledge into all our practical undertakings, making it an ideal time to set realistic goals and work towards achieving emotional and material stability following up on the first Capricorn Full Moon in the Tropical system on June 21st.
With the Moon at 29° Capricorn conjunct Pluto at the first degree of Aquarius and the Sun in Cancer opposing Pluto, this full moon allows for ego dissolution and exploration of emotional landscapes from an eagle point of view. As long as we are aware of the intensity and willing to embrace the full spectrum of our feelings, we can avoid the Lunar Volcanoes activated by Pluto and the T-square of the Full Moon with Chiron in Aries as its apex. This can help us reach new heights of understanding the most difficult personal narratives. If we are on the high end of this energetic wave, we may seize opportunities that appear through family members or ancestral roots. Look deeply into the dynamics of your family, your loved ones, or your home for clues to what can be understood at a higher level. These insights can be enriched by the transformative power of Pluto and Chiron, both acting as healer archetypes.
The Uranus and Mars conjunction is further activated with the trine from the Moon and sextile from the Sun. These harmonious aspects provide supportive grounds, as long as we stay calm and collected. With all this hyperactive energy during this Full Moon, it’s important to ground yourself. Meditate on the beauty of the natural world, embrace the fleeting yet undeniable spectacle of tremendous awe, dance among the bees and flowers, leaves and wind, and allow your senses to be activated by the gifts of fruiting trees and bushes. Devour raspberries and blueberries right from your garden, or simply look into the soft hearts of blossoming dahlias, and allow the cosmic wisdom expressed through each being and particle to infuse you with love and compassion. Life is for the living!

Vedic, Sidereal: Moon in Capricorn in Uttarashada Nakshatra, Sun in Cancer, in Pushya.
Uttarashada Nakshatra – the Universal Star
In the Vedic tradition, during this Full Moon, the Moon resides at 4°56′ Capricorn, in the Nakshatra Uttarashada which lies partly in Capricorn, reflecting the energies of Sun/Saturn. The deities associated with this Moon Mansion are the 10 Vishwa Devas, the Universal Gods who rule over all the realms, heaven and earth. The 10 Vishwa Devas represent the following attributes also characteristic for this nakshatra: wealth, truth, will power, skill, inspiration, eye for detail, patience, desire, self-control, joy.
Uttarashada, is symbolized by an elephant or the elephant’s tusk also associated with the elephant headed God, Ganesha, the remover of obstacles.
The Sun resides in the Moon Mansion called Pushya and represented as The Star of Nourishment. Pushya ruled by Saturn resides entirely in the constellation of Cancer, ruled by the Moon, therefore we look at the energies of Saturn & Moon combined like in a conjunction. This is not an easy alignment, but in this Moon Mansion we look at the idea of selfless sacrifice to truly care for others and to build emotional stability. Pushya Nakshatra teaches us that it takes true wisdom and sacrifice to care for others and to be of benefit to others. We learn to be wise and patient.
Wishing you a peaceful Full Moon!
